Many manufacturers have a workspace that is holding back production. PWI's overhead cranes, fall protection systems, and mezzanines help companies increase capacity and improve efficiency.
PWI is located in Nappanee, Indiana about 25 miles outside of South Bend. In 1979, Paul Miller opened a family-owned welding shop that would become an industry leader in the fabrication of overhead cranes, fall protection systems, and mezzanines.
When PWI first started, they primarily repaired farm and construction equipment. As Northern Indiana became the RV manufacturing capital of the world, they saw an opportunity and a problem.
Old manufacturing plants were unsafe and short on space. PWI began retrofitting facilities with overhead cranes and personal fall protection for their assembly lines. To maximize space, they designed and fabricated raised work platforms called mezzanines. This is an affordable way to increase space without the cost of new construction.
Manufacturing customers love PWI because they provide the complete package. Their in-house engineers work closely with the production and installation teams, providing customers with a ready to operate solution.
PWI no longer only retrofits old manufacturing plants. Today they work alongside growing companies and general contractors. Together they make a plan to utilize every inch of manufacturing space. This ensures high production efficiency and the greatest return on investment for each of their customers.
PWI is still family-owned and operated by the second generation. Brothers Ryan, Darren, and Kyle Miller push PWI forward as they continue the legacy of offering the perfect solution. To keep up with their growing customer base across North America, PWI is increasing their facility to over 230,000 square feet.
The Mission of PWI is to design and deliver smart, fabricated solutions, while maintaining valued relationships with our customers and vendors. Our Team recognizes every opportunity as a gift from God, which calls us to work with integrity and to live with open hands throughout our communities.
Our customers are spread across North America and offer products and services in many industries.
