Job Summary
As a Delivery Crew Member at PWI, you will safely and efficiently transport equipment and materials to customers or installation sites. Your responsibilities include securing loads, ensuring compliance with road safety regulations, and assisting with loading and unloading as needed. By maintaining a focus on safety and timeliness, you support PWI’s commitment to excellent service and operational efficiency.
Job Description
- Deliver jobs and loads promptly to customers or installation sites, adhering to assigned schedules.
- Collect needed documentation from customers.
- Ensure all loads on PWI trucks and trailers are safely and securely fastened to prevent shifting during transit.
- Operate forklifts, cranes, and power tools to assist with loading, unloading, and shipment preparation as needed.
- Notify maintenance promptly when trucks or equipment require attention or repairs.
- Maintain all required personal licenses and logs, and consult on compliant transfer of loads.
- Ensure inspections and cleanliness of trucks are kept to the highest standards.
Skills and Qualifications
- Traffic laws/ DOT regulations/ driving knowledge
- Pallet jack experience required; forklift experience preferred
- Ability to lift 80 pounds repeatedly throughout the day
- Clean driving record
- No DUI/DWI convictions in the past seven years
- Some construction or power tool experience preferred
- Listening and verbal communication skills
- Dependability
- Able to climb up and down off of trailers multiple times a day.
Education, Experience, and Age Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CDL – Class A
- 21 years or older
- Experience with logging and use of ELD preferred
